What is dermal filler made from?
Hyaluronic acid, which is a sugar produced by and stored in the body. It has the essential function of maintaining correct levels of moisture in the epidermis.
How long will it take to fully recover following my lip enhancement appointment?
Bruising usually lasts between 2-3 days. Immediately after the treatment, you should expect some swelling. This is most pronounced the morning after your appointment.
Is lip enhancement painful?
The lips can be a sensitive spot to treat. However, dental block/numbing cream significantly reduces discomfort and makes the procedure effectively pain free. If you wish to make use of dental block, please request when booking. If you prefer numbing cream please arrive a minimum of 30 minutes before the treatment begins.
What can be done if I don’t like the results?
Don’t worry – the procedure is entirely reversible, and fillers in the treated area can be dissolved if you’re not 100% satisfied with the results. For this reason, and unlike surgical approaches, it’s low risk.
