How is botulinum toxin produced?
It’s made from a bacteria known as Clostridium botulinum. It’s incredibly common and has a wide range of applications, from cosmetic treatments such as those we offer at Skin Matters by Colette, to medical treatments for excessive sweating, muscle spasms and migraine.
How does botulinum toxin work?
Simply put, it targets the transference of nerve signals to your muscles, which communicate the need to contract. This has a relaxing effect.
How long will it take to fully recover?
You can expect to fully recover from any soreness within 24 hours.
What if I’m unhappy with the results?
As it’s a temporary treatment, you can choose not to have top up administrations and your lower jaw will eventually assume its previous shape after a few months.
